We honor the remarkable life and musical legacy of legendary composer Chumei Watanabe with selections from Himitsu Sentai Goranger, Battle Fever J, and Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan, along with a special rebroadcast of our exclusive interview with Mr. Watanabe.

This special presentation celebrates his creative genius, his tremendous contributions to Japanese television music, and the wonderful legacy he left behind.

Later in the program, we also feature a selection of music from the Super Mario series, including jazz arrangements by Soichi Noriki, vocal selections by Sinichi Ishihara and Keiko Matsui, music from Super Mario Kart, and a special message from composer Soyo Oka recorded exclusively for The J-Pop Exchange.
